PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR DECEMBER 13th!
The Mar Vista Community Council is pleased to announce plans for
our Quarterly Stakeholder Meeting to be held on Tuesday, December 13th,
at 7:00 PM at the Mar Vista Recreation Center Auditorium. This will be
a festive, year end event, featuring guest speakers including LA City
Councilman Bill Rosendahl.
Prior to the meeting, at around 5:30 PM, the LAPD Santa Sleigh will
arrive at Mar Vista Park, at which time Santa Clause(Officer Pete
Llanes), and his helpers(Senior Lead officers), will pass out candy to
the children. A toy donation bin is currently at the park
office to accept donations of new, unwrapped toys for the annual LAPD
Toy drive. Prior to Christmas, the LAPD Santa and Sleigh,
complete with LAPD markings and light bar, will visit Oakwood and the
Mar Vista Housing Project, to distribute free toys to less fortunate
children. Be a part of this worthy effort and drop off a new toy
at the park office anytime prior to the Mar Vista Stakeholder event.
